Where to get account bound gear

Not exactly at the same time. Or you can take the gear off of one character and put them onto the other since they will no longer soulbind. I can understand why it is a good thing to have legendary weapons available to all characters of an account although the skin would have been available with the wardrobe anyway.

But, ascended equipment? I can hardly imagine that players will regularly switch ascended equipment from one character to another, which basically means undressing one character before dressing the other… Weird! And considering how expensive ascended armor is for the average player to make, I could see the cheaper ones undressing when they decide to switch to an alt.

It could be nice for fractals. If you have a couple characters that use the same set of gear then you only have to get one set of ascended gear with AR while still being able to use different characters in fractals.

Ok so… with armor you got the wardrobe where you can switch skins and stats like transmuting on the fly. So, this means we can do the same with weps? If so, does that mean I can get the WupWup skin with zerker stats? This IS good news, I can now look at legendaries as a whole account goal rather than which character do I prefer to play on the most.

I just wanna ask if you can pick the stats you want for your legendary when you equip it, or do you have to transmute it with an ascended weapon.. Its a warrior using a dagger.

Any character on your account can receive it, but the limitations of the mail system are such that you cannot mail the item across faction lines in the first place. Similarly, the mail system is not set up to support sending mail across servers. Perhaps the intent was to keep players or guilds from moving rare and powerful items from one group or server to another, concentrating them in places where they were not meant to be.

Character transfers, added after the game launched, goes against this intent although it is still difficult for a single person or group to stockpile items because a character can only transfer once a week while the mail system would allow a continuous stream of transfers.

If the mail system were reworked to remove these restrictions, or if there were a way to share access to a bank or similar storage system with all your characters regardless of shard or faction, then Bind to Account would allow you to trade the items. The problem is the mail system, and I believe that changing it would require reprogramming the entire system almost from scratch to recognize different servers, so it's possible but unlikely that we will see changes to it that allow full trading of Bind to Account items.
